The details of 30million people who sailed to North America, Australia, India and South Africa from 1890 to 1960 have been put on a pay-per-view website.

The records put online have previously only been available at The National Archives in London.

The database includes records from the mass migration between 1890 and 1914 when around 131,000 people left Great Britain every year for a new life.

If only Indian ancestors data was accessible online! Im sure im curious to know about mine.. Well i think internet archives will play a crucial role in warehousing such data for future generations (and i mean 1 or 2 centuries in th future!). So in a way when im an ancestor to someone hopefully they will be reading this article and saying oh i had a smart ancestor who could predict the future ;)!
