Gone were those days when a candidate would be almost exhausted reaching the 6th round of Google Interviews (Out of Experience:) ). Google are desperate to Hire more and More engineers and sales staff for their Online Adsense projects. Google has always been into slecting A Graders and the interview process would take almost 2 months to complete per candidate.
In order to make it easy with less efforts, Google has come up with an algorithm for candidate recruitment. They believe this algorithm would select candidates whoa re jack of all trades. Google — in typical eccentric fashion — has created an automated way to search for talent among the more than 100,000 job applications it receives each month. It is starting to ask job applicants to fill out an elaborate online survey that explores their attitudes, behavior, personality and biographical details going back to high school.The questions range from the age when applicants first got excited about computers to whether they have ever tutored or ever established a nonprofit organization.
I am getting into their website, to just check whats the difference between the GLAT (Google Labs Test) that I attended some time back and the present one.
