futurebazaar.com eyes Rs300 crore revenues, looking at entering online travel portal


Economic Times: Future Group is targeting revenues of Rs 300 crore from its online shopping portal, futurebazaar.com, in the first year of operations. The group is also actively looking at entering the online travel retail segment. Speaking to press Sankarson Banerjee, CEO of Future Bazaar said Currently, about 40,000 people visit the portal daily and 1% of them place orders for products. Futurebazaar.com is also planning to scale its product offering from 5,000 to 1 million soon. with a strong offline presence  and integrated communication strategy futurebazaar.com may soon grab a significant share in Rs.2,300 Indian  ecommerce market.

    Hi Guys,
    Future bazaar shop backend operations are worst. i have made a purchse for 6-7 i have same experience. i have never got the product ontime. i have call fight for 3-4 to get the product.even though big guys are managing this company i can tell these guys are spending their time on the news papers and tv’s .worst mangement. Dont recommend to any of your friends you will lose the credibility among your firends. sorry to say. it is puerly my experience.

    @cibi – Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I feel with any online service provide especially one thats ecommerce oriented there are bound to be such problems. Its all about how they minimize these logistics issues
