Astrolife ties up with MSN India
Exchange4media: People group which is more well known for being the company behind shaadi.com also owns and runs Astrolife.com which as the name suggests provides astrology and allied services on the Internet. Now to promote this website they have tied up with MSN India which is not surprising as MSN India also has a tie up with for Shaadi.com. So like the existing matrimonial channel on MSN India, which is powered by Shaadi.com there shall be a new astrology channel which will be powered by astrolife.
As far as the business model of Astrolife.com is concerned, its Business Head, Raj Rao, said, “As we send out around 100,000 mails to subscribers everyday, we see a great opportunity for advertisers in that. But, we will only carry relevant ads in these mailers as we value our subscribers’ choice of getting quality content. We also have banner ads on our sites, but our major chunk of revenue comes from subscriptions.”
I think online astrology has a great future in india and though the best way to monetise it may still be a little unclear the potential cannot be denied.
