BSNL to offer broadband at 2 mbps from next year


Communications and IT minister Dayanidhi Maran on Thursday said,Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd will offer broadband services with speed of up to 2 megabits per second to all its existing subscribers who were till now getting 256 kbps connection. Subscribers will not be charged for migrating to the high-speed broadband access nor will they have to change their consumer premise equipment. Maran said that private operators would take up the challenge and make 2007 a real success for broadband BSNL has about 9 lakh broadband subscribers with a marketshare of 43.07

    When will is get my 2 mbps connection. It will be a dream to me using 2 mbps internet at my office.
