Google has begun a limited test of its radio advertising system where customers can buy radio ads via its online ad-buying system.

In a statement the company said it had begun a limited public test of a system it acquired through its acquisition of dMarc Broadcasting in early 2006 for $102 million and which it subsequently incorporated into its existing AdWords online ad-buying system.

Just recently google had added a click to call function for Indian google adwords users as well and now with this development happening in online booking of radio ads is it possible that google could implement the same technology across the world? Especially in India where the radio industry is getting more and more competitive..

Well though possible im sure it will take some time.. but even then looking at the way google seems to leveraging the online advertising medium and technology to get a foothold into other mediums is something most companies can learn from.
