Redmond based Microsoft has announced it is coming out with its own online library, which will compete with Google Book Search. To get along the lines right now they are partnering with various organizations like "New York Public Library" and the "American Museum of Veterinary Medicine". Microsoft suggests that "Live Search Books" was created all the copyright laws in mind.
We had reported before of Google Book Search and the potential problems they might face. Undoubtedly we can see a race emerging to get the most sought after titles under their hood. Also probably with Microsoft stating that it’s service obeys the law kind of puts Google on the wrong side of the fence. But in the end the fate of the service and in what form it might be delivered surely rests on the courts decision.
