Well this is one online ad that made me laugh! I have always been an admirer of Webchutney’s work right from their award winning chidya udi campaign to their latest campaign for microsoft outlook. Their latest campaign seems to have hit a "right note" with the "bade dino ke bad song" for Microsoft outlook 2007. Though the viral microsite (http://chitthi.webchutney.net) which is made in flash takes ages (and i mean ages!!) to load i would recommend that you wait as the wait would be worthwhile!
And if you can’t well go through this storyboard and you would get a glimpse of why WATblog has featured this campaign.
Scene 1:
The flash video starts with a Pankaj Udaas cartoon singing "Bade dino ke baad.." And he keep’s repeasting the same line till someone from the audience asks.. "Bade dino ke baad kya??" .. Then he says.. "kya?" and slowly whispers "Chitthi Aayi hai" and start playing his harmonium wildly! Then..
Someone from the audience throws a "chapal" or a slipper at him.
The caption comes on screen which says "dont be Udaas"
"Outlook is very fast and Jhakaas!"
And finally the last shot which makes the viral complete .. i.e. the send to a friend option..
I am sure this viral will get popular as it will connect with the online audience both Indian and NRI.. As the Pankaj Udaas song was wildly popular in the pre internet and email days of India.
hey i’ve seen this video quiet some time ago ….. the link shown above does not load any thing and says Bad Request …. is there anyway i can get this video or download it from somewhere ?
