Does your project works extensively on xmls?
Do you plan to use them as smart data interchange format?
Its good… Agreed..It looks simple but sometimes cumbersome for end developer. There is already lot of discussion online to read about this.
I would like to summarize simple problems I faced there:
(My views)
1) its verbose
2) too generalastic; so has its pros and cons. I mean whatever effort has gone in making language and tools which handle xml files; same could have done for flat files and surely have yielded same results in return.
3) Retrieval of data (many time single node) is tedious and looks really bad in program
4) What I like about xml is its really good for i18N
