Wordpress to go Corporate with KnowNow …
Email It!
Being a self proclaimed Wordpress Evangelist, it was only natural that my first post at WATblog had a flavour of the same. So lets get started …. The news is out that San Francisco’s Automattic, the company which owns WordPress, has teamed up with KnowNow (a Sunnyvale company) that has made early inroads selling RSS technology to companies.
KnowNow has agreed to help sell and support WordPress blogging software, which allows WP an alternate way to infiltrate enterprises. The blogging platform will be combined with KnowHow’s robust (but costly) servers, and the package will be called "KnowNow WordPress Enterprise Edition" which will be pitted as - RSS and personal publishing platform to help enterprise work forces organize, filter and aggregate information for effective collaboration !
Commentary : Companies now clearly realise the need for an enterprise authoring platform which will help them both internally (internal collaboration, test products and ideas) and externally (with marketing, PR). The recent examples of successful corporate blogs clearly show that Corporate blogging goes a long way in showcasing Thought Leadership and most of today’s companies will lap that idea in the wake to appear more innovative. And that’s not all, so many other SMB’s have successfully leveraged the power of blogging to enhance customer relationships, recruitment and marketing. All in all, with corporate blogging becoming more and more prevalent, it is obvious that this kind of a partership(Wordpress + KnowNow) will help both the companies achieve much more.
