Reliance launches gaming portal Zapak.com

Exchange4media: Not too long ago there was a story we featured about reliance looking to invest $100 million in gaming over three years and here is the reliance gaming portal called Zapak.com. Zapak.com a casual gaming portal has been launched in beta version under new gaming division of Anil Dhirubhhai Ambani’s group named Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd.
The final version of the site added with advanced features is expected to be launched on 1st of December.
Reliance’s startegy is to conquer the gaming market phase by phase. Launching a casual gaming portal is part of the first phase, in the second and third phases, it plans to launch action games and MMOGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Games) which would directly put reliance in competition with Sify which has A3india.com and Levelupgames.co.in
The second and third phases are expected to be launched through the same portal Zapak.com. So it seems like Reliance - ADAG is all set to build a national brand in gaming. And why not? when you consider the reach that the ever growing number of reliance cyber cafe’s that offer broadband connectivity have it seems like a natural business extention.

With the economy booming and India rising, its a great news that the largest business house of India is making its foray into gaming entertainment as well. Zapak will not only give great content to the gaming community, but also be India's entry into the hi-tech world of entertainment. Kudos to Ambani!!!
