Naukri.com, Jeevansaathi.com and 99acres.com (owned by Infoedge Ltd) india’s homegrown jobs and online classifieds giant is ready for an IPO with a public offer that will consist of 5,323,851 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each. The Issue comprises reservation of 532,385 equity shares for subscription by the employees of the Company and a Net Issue to the Public of 4,791,466 equity shares. IPO of Info Edge Ltd ( Naukri.com)is opening for subscription on 30th October 2006 and will close on 2nd November 2006. Price Band is fixed at Rs 290/- to Rs 320/- per share. Minimum Bid lot is 20 Equity Shares and thereafter in multiples of 20 equity shares thereafter.
Ok here is the above paragraph in simple words.. Naukri is issuing 47 lakh shares approx to the public shares can be bought in multiples of 20 at a price band between Rs.290 to Rs.320. So in effect if naukri shares are fully subscribed it would raise 135 crores approx from the markets giving them more muscle power than any other online classifieds player in the market and also giving credibility to online classifieds businesses in India as this is the first public issue of any such company. Also the IPO propectus states that they would keep around 30 crores aside for aquisitions which could be something to look out for. All in all this is a very good news for Internet industry in India.

Jayesh this partcular article where the price band is mentioned we were the first one to mention it and even alootechie quoted us as source for the same. Conentsutra posted this information but a few days later our date is 12th october.. check teh contentsutra date for this info.. (H)
