UPDATED BY RAJIV - The google codesearch has also been reviewed by techcrunch which states that these code search engines have a long way to go before they become a shortcut way for developers to find code – especially considering that most developers are astute at using ordinary search engines to find what they are looking for.

Google despite its problems which we mentioned on its 8th birthday has been very active with new product launches and getting into various search related markets. The Literacy Project features Books, Academic Texts, Video, Blogs, Groupsand Maps all focussed on literacy related stuff. Another product by google which leverages its search capabilities to add value ton different community of users.
