Yahoo is not only being innovative and aggressive internationally as far as its mail is concerned and through acquisitions (Yahoo recently acquired Jumpcut an online video editing website and is looking to acquire Facebook a popular social network) it is expanding its presence in India as well with plans to launch up to six new portals in regional languages and acquire or enter into partnership with an Indian company.
Its is also looking at increasing headcount at its R&D centre in Bangalore to 1,000 from current 800 by the end of this year.
Now with Yahoo search marketing, Messenger and 2-6 regional portals its looking like Yahoo is all set to penetrate the interiors of India
