BBC Choose Microsoft for web2.0


BBC is teaming up with Microsoft to develop next generation internet services. Microsoft will work on formulating the BBC’s digital strategy, which includes plans for an online archive and updated website redesigning the present site in the form of Web 2.0 to accommodate more audio and video and introducing services that allow users to create and share content amongst others

BBC is already using a range of digital services, including its iPlayer media jukebox which gives access to live and archived programming.
