tech2.0 tech2.comcricketnextWeb 18 which recently had aquired cricketnext.com has relaunched it with a new look. Not only does the site has been given a typical look which is across all web 18 sites like moneycontrol and ibnlive but it also feature a video feature right on the homepage which is from IBNlive. There are players and team rankings given on the left and also an interative forum for users known as talking point. All in all a good relaunch and much better than the previous site which should make cricket fanatics look forward to more and also should give cricinfo something to think about. Beside Cricketnext the tchblog section of moneycontrol which was earlier at http://tech.moneycontrol.com is been relaunched as an entire new site on technology known as tech2.com this site features product reviews, invites user comments and looks very clean and classy as well and the website layout is again very similar to cricketnext with a slideshow on the homepage along with lest features reviews and an option to download videos as well. Tech2.0 is in direct competition with the likes of techtree.com owned by ITnation. The media coverage possibility of both these websites (as they are owned by web18 a web business of the Television giant TV18) should make their competitors shudder with fear of the future. The other website that Web18 has recently acquired is CompareIndia which is still to be relaunched in the manner that these two sites were.

One can only say that Tv18 is one company that is leveraging its Television prowess to build strong internet business in really huge potential sectors like cricket with Cricketnext , ecommerce compareindia , travel with yatra.com , jobs with jobstreet , finance with moneycontrol, news with ibnlive and finally tech with tech2.0! Phew… talk about covering it all! All in all this augurs really well for Internet as a medium as much bigger players with money would also start looking at this medium and the more money that pours in the better growth and better quality the the consumes get.
