Corporate bullying which was synonymous with Microsoft & a few other biggies seems to have found new takers. Any company however uncommon may the brand be are getting “cease and desist” letter from Apple for using ‘pod’ in any of their brands. Here is a example of a company developing casings for lap-tops called ‘TightPod’ or another where in a company develops which has an electronic proof-of-delivery product which they call "SmartTrans e-PoD". One more case where in a company called Mach5 which makes small accounting devices called a Profit Pod. I guess it wouldn’t be quiet harmless to predict if one day Peapods will be called well Peacases
or don’t know what. Though they might not go over to the courts over the matter, but the very nature & the spirit of the letter is not good publicity for Apple. This follows just a day after Google has said it intends to crack down on the use of its name as a generic verb, in phrases such as "to google someone". I think they would also find the term ‘googly’ liable for copyright infringement. In fact using google in a verb form is good publicity if not anything else.
