Bambai ka share bazaar!

bseindiaThe BSE is going hindi i mean the BSE website is going hindi. The hindi website of the countries oldest stock exchange is expected to be online by October this year. Though it is interesting to note that the gujarati version of the BSE was launched a month ago on July 9th known as GujBSEIndia.com. though the website is functional only on IE browsers they are not compatible with Firefox! (Though i dont expect financial people to know about firefox.. its like asking a techie what a capitalization table is!). In mumbai the gujrati version hasn’t fared too well but as expected has been a hit in the town’s of gujarat. Well those of you who are completely disconnected with the stock market i would like to add that the gujarati version made sense due to the heavy domination of Gujarati’s in the stock exchange.

I think this news piece should be an answer to all those web sceptics who still doubt that the internet is growing! The bse websie has been online for year so why is it launching vernacular versions now? Well i can think of one reason people are finally using the online medium rather than watching tv or calling their brokers to know prices and market information. No one makes an effort to supple till they envision some demand!
