Exchange4Media: Cleartrip.com the online travel booking portal funded by Sherpalo recently appointed Beehive Communication as its creative agency for all its advertising. The account size is expected to be around 15 crores. The Vp Marketing has also made a statement that Cleartrip will spend whatever it takes to manage four lakh transactions a year. Now thats a huge number of transactions! even if you put an average amount per transaction at Rs.1000 (Remember we are talking about plane tickets here!) even then the revenue that we are expecting are a whopping 40 crore in the first year! That will be some feat if Cleartrip is able to achieve it. My best wishes are with them..
Presenty clear trip provides booking in india only, So Margins will not be at Rs 1000 levels for domestic flying.
Infact Clear trip books tickes from few airline only..

The figure looks conservative, since even 2 lakh transactions at Rs 2500 odd per transaction is more like what they will hope to do..
